At the KLSMC competition on Pi Day, Epsom students tackled everything from integration and proof questions to estimation games and Dragon Maths relays, all while building friendships and thriving under pressure. The experience revealed a different side to Maths, one driven by creativity, teamwork and plenty of energy.

Gasps, cheers and a tower of steaming foam, this week’s Chemistry Society CCA brought one of science’s most iconic experiments to life. Behind the dramatic Elephant’s Toothpaste reaction was a fascinating exploration of catalysts, reaction rates and exothermic change. The session offered students the chance to see complex chemical concepts unfold in real time, with plenty of excitement along the way.

Nearly 70 students took to the stage at this year’s Instrumental Music Competition, making it the largest event of its kind at Epsom to date. From beginner performers to advanced finalists delivering conservatoire-level performances, the competition showcased both the depth of musical talent and the remarkable range of instruments across the school. With participation continuing to grow, the future of music at Epsom looks especially exciting.
